Taryn Liechty, DNP, RN, CCRN
Taryn Liechty, DNP, RN, CCRN, is the Program Director for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program and a Clinical Associate Professor at Indiana University South Bend. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Case Western Reserve University and her Master of Science in Nursing and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Ball State University. She teaches in both the undergraduate and graduate programs and brings a background in critical care nursing, nursing education, simulation, quality improvement, and health equity to her work.
As a nursing educator and leader, Dr. Liechty is passionate about preparing students to become knowledgeable, confident, and compassionate nurses. Her work focuses on creating meaningful learning experiences that connect classroom knowledge to clinical practice, with particular interests in simulation, evidence-based practice, quality and safety, and equitable, respectful patient care. She is committed to supporting students throughout their nursing education while preparing them for the challenges and opportunities of a career in nursing.
